It was good enough for the amount we paid. Nice receptionist nice breakfast.
Just a bit too far from the town centre for my liking. Would of liked something closer to everything.
Reasonable room, nice spa
Tv didn't work properly, and staff not really apologetic about that
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and maintained daily with fresh linen. All rooms were equipped with fridge, kettle and tea and coffee. The view from our room across Lake Taupo was magnificent, especially at night. The hotel was within driving distance to Taupo township, but a bit too far to walk. Taupo is an ideal base to stay at for numerous activities in and around the area.
While the views from the room were magnificent, the rooms were very basic and not at all how they were advertised - they are more suited to higher end budget accommodation than the advertised "studio" apartment. There was no buffet breakfast, despite paying for it at time of booking, as guest numbers requiring breakfast were too low for the hotel to put it on. Breakfast was provided, though, from the menu.
Loved staying here, the staff were lovely, room was fantastic, clean, good size for two adults. Was so nice to duck down to have a spa in piece. Only bad part was having to leave to go home!
At breakfast the food was not fully covered and there was a few flies hovering over cereal.
The whole place looks pretty impresive.
The private spa was a bit tacky and unclean. We like to be able to walk easily to the local town, Lakeland Resort is not convenient for this.
It was handy to the city,Thermal spa pools and lake. Accommodation was comfortable and meals & breakfast was excellent
The hot water cylinder was noisy!
View across the lake, friendliness of staff
Burnt pudding really let the good standard of food down - what a shame!
It was conveniant for my mum & I as we were travelling down to Wellington. At the restaurant as we had a lovely meal and a great breakfast the next morning Very quite.
Everything. The staff were friendly from the moment we arrived. It was over the New Years period and we were given advice at breakfast as to when to check out to not hit the rush. Facilities were clean and tidy and there was no noise at night that would wake you up.
The only thing that bothered me was when we booked the spa and were not allowed more than two sessions. But it is understandable when it was full with other people.
Easy to find, plenty of parking, close to lake. Staff were friendly.
The hot water was extremley hot (dangerously hot), pillows to flat and the chain lock was broken on the door, I did feel a little unsafe as I was on my own. When I checked out I told them and they said they would look into those things I mentioned. (I would hate a child to have touched the hot water, so I hope they turn it down.)
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, neat and tidy and a comfortable stay.
Very clean and tidy. Bathroom and linen ammaculate.
the location was great and the room was very comfortable
the common spa was not clean and would have preferred the room to be cleaned daily!
Mozzies coming in late night.
Reasonable rates. Had a tennis court, not that I got to use it. A restaurant in the lobby.
Couild of done with a microwave. Also sound proofing . Could hear toilet from next door early in the morn
